This summer has truly been the best ever!! It started out a little rocky. I wasn't sure how it would be to move in with my parents but they have been awesome. It was also a little tough starting Legacy. That's our business, yes we are now entrepreneurs! haha We take old photos and family videos and digitize them. Getting everything set up was quite the stressful task. It ended up being perfect though! It enabled us to have the freedom to do so many awesome things!
We kicked off the summer with a trip to Mesa, Vegas and Newport Beach. Mesa was so fun! We stayed with my sister, Autumn and her family. It was the first time that I got to see her new house. It was so cute. I absolutely love it! We got to hang out with my nephews who have definitely entered the stage of girls have coodies evidenced by their excitement and fuss over Uncle Larry and complete disregard of Aunt Kendall! I'm only kidding, it wasn't that bad! They are so cute! We were their during the NBA playoffs and it was histarical to watch them. They know everything about basketball... it is quite impressive! Vegas was fun as always. We stayed with Larry's brother Luke and his wife Emmy. Larry played video games with his friends for about 3 days straight while I soaked up the sun poolside and walked the mall! My idea of perfect! haha We then took off to Newport Beach to celebrate our birthdays. We did the O.C. tour, saw Prince of Persia and ate at, of course, Cheesecake Factory! Larry surprised me with a pink nintendo DS. I am obsessed with it!! We then made our way back up the coast to Walnut Creek.
We've been to the beach 3 times and are planning a few more trips! Once to capitola with my parents. Once to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (where we enjoyed deep fried twinkies!) And lastly with Larry's friend Chelsie who can to stay with us (which was so fun, I love that girl!!)
We've had a blast in this warm weather. It must be frog season or something because we found about 30 little frogs and brought them back to the pond in my parents backyard. We've also been enjoying bike rides and long walks on the trail. haha We also camped out in the backyard one night and made s'mores using the BBQ. (This was upon realizing that to camp in this part of california costs $30!! I refuse to pay to sleep outside with no bathroom! haha)
Larry had never been to a professional baseball game before and his favorite team is the Boston Red Sox. So when we found out they'd be playing the Oakland A's we decided we had to go. I do feel like a bit of a traitor since all through high school I was a die hard A's fan but what can you do?! haha
Last week we went to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom with my sister Madi. It was so fun! The lines were short and the rides were awesome! I also loved all the animals! We saw the tiger show, the killer whale show and a giant walrus!
I always knew Larry loved soccer. However, I didn't know how much until the world cup. There is very little that would get me up before 10 o'clock AM. Larry woke up for every single 7 AM game! It was amazing! haha We were so excited that Spain won because we got to see some of the world cup champions on their club team Real Madrid. They were playing a Mexican team at Candlestick Park, random I know, but Awesome for us!! We witnessed (my secret lover) Christiano Ronaldo score the game winning goal off a free kick!
